Following on from the great success of NASA's mission; to land Curiosity safely on Mars and start the epic journey of Two years (hopefully more). To search for evidence that Mars once held life and pave the way for future missions, possibly for (as if this wasn't exciting enough) a Manned Mission to Mars. The Mars-500 Test en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MARS-500 conducted between 2007-2011 to accumulate valuable psychological and medical data on the effects of the planned long-term deep space mission. Not to get ahead of ourselves though, a Manned Mission to Mars is way off yet.

It was amazing to see the live feed (time delayed obviously) of Curiosity landing on Mars www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZX5GR… This was no mean feat; after building a laboratory on a six wheeler - landing safely and only a wind speed instrument fail (as far as I know) is pretty awesome! To write so much code and have it execute so smoothly is a real achievement [Hats off!] I think this have give the space exploration community a great boost for more missions. So what else do they have in store for us;

A Paddleboat Mission to Titan Proposed;   www.universetoday.com/97611/pa…

NASA to Start Work on Real Warp Drive;  news.discovery.com/space/warp-…

I personally want to see a mission to Jupiter's Moon; Europa www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46840174/…

There are so many missions I'm looking forward to seeing happen Science Fiction become Science Fact - I really can't wait!

What would be the most exciting mission you want to see?

However farfetched it may seem I want to hear about it!

Very interesting topic indeed. I love the idea of Space Travel (obviousely...) and wish I could withness the Space Travel Age some day, but that's probably not going to happen since it will take a couple of hundrets of years until we can travel Space...

What I hope to see in my life-time is at least a permanent manned Space Station on the Moon and maybe even on the Mars.

Thank you also for the Links, especially the one about the Warp Drive is very interesting!
